B& W JT feathers face down
Joseph Tawadros returns to the October Gallery in Central London, where his virtuosic oud skills will be on display for one night only…

The ARIA Award winning Joseph Tawadros isn’t afraid to try new things. Challenging traditional musical forms, and pushing boundaries in meter and melody, he brings an exciting performing dynamic to the stage.

Joseph composes and performs original works on his beloved oud (Arabic lute) incorporating fusion, arabic modes, even elements of metal and bluegrass, drawing also from world, folk and jazz. From thrilling and furiously paced numbers to beautifully introspective and tranquil tracks, it is seamlessly woven together by his trademark virtuosity and lyricism and the striking contemporary musicality of the oud.

2017 highlights included performances with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, an Oud Concerto premiere with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Catch him in this rare intimate solo concert in London before he heads off on an Australasian tour.
